The RAID volume on the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ can be expanded directly without having to reformat the existing hard drives, ensuring the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ continues its service during the capacity expansion. When created as a separate volume, the Synology RX410 provides an easy solution for backing up the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+. Reliable Plug-n-use Design The Synology RX410 is connected to the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+ using an eSATA cable with custom-designed, secure connectors on both ends, ensuring a reliable connection and maximum throughput. eSATA, with speeds of 3.0 Gb/sec, allows the hard drives in the connected Synology RX410 to operate as they are the internal ones of the Synology RS810+/RS810RP+, with no lag in data retrieval. Green & Easy to Manage HDD hibernation can be configured to take effect automatically when the system has been inactive for a specified period of time. This not only saves energy but also extends the lifespan of the hard disks. Synology RX410 is managed with Synology DiskStation Manager 2.3, no additional firmware installation is needed.
