Description
The Lenovo USB Portable 500GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) option works with Rescue and Recovery(3) on ThinkPad(R), ThinkCentre(R), and Lenovo 3000 systems. Rescue and Recovery is a backup and restore software utility preloaded on ThinkPad and ThinkCentre systems. It is a complete image recovery solution that helps protect against data loss in the event of a software or hardware failure by enabling recovery to a previously saved image. This bootable drive, together with Rescue and Recovery software, allows straight-forward recovery of your system image and data. The Lenovo USB Portable 500GB HDD incorporates a USB 2.0 interface for high-speed data transfers and is backward-compatible with USB 1.1 (at USB 1.1 transfer speeds). It offers high-capacity storage in a small, lightweight, and completely portable device without the need for an ac power adapter. Driverless installation under Microsoft Windows(R) XP and Microsoft Windows Vista makes this drive very easy to use, and facilitates file transfers between systems.
