The HP StorageWorks 2500 Disk System provides HP Integrity servers using HP-UX direct attach storage capacity and expandability in their Fibre Channel environments. The DS2500 can hold up to 7 TB by using 500 GB FATA drives as each enclosure holds up to 14 hot-pluggable drives. The DS2500 supports 72 GB 15K, 146 GB 10/15K, 300 GB 10K and 500 GB FATA drives that can be mixed and matched in any enclosure. Spanning is supported which allows the disks to be combined into one logical disk drive. Conveniently packaged in a 3U, 2 Gb/sec Fibre Channel enclosure. Up to 4 enclosures can be combined or daisy chained providing up to 56 total disk drives. Connectivity to your HP Integrity host can be accomplished using LC/LC cables (2 to 50 meter lengths available). The HP StorageWorks 2500 Disk System provides a range of uses including boot support for the HP Integrity server to providing multi-shelf direct attach storage.
