Description
The HP ProCurve 630 Redundant and External Power Supply provides redundant system power and/or an extra 398 W of Power over Ethernet and Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) power for a switch. Ideally suited for Voice over IP (VoIP) environments, the 630 power supply provides the redundant power supply (RPS) and extra PoE power needed in many other common customer environments where high power availability is desired. Switchover from a failed internal power supply to the 630 power supply is seamless and immediate. In addition, the 630 power supply can protect against a single power main failure when it is connected to a different power main than the switch. The 630 power supply supports the HP ProCurve 2910al and 3500yl-PoE+ Switch Series.
- Independent RPS and EPS ports: one RPS port provides system power for one switch and one EPS port provides PoE and PoE+ power for another switch. Supports PoE+ HP E-Series stackable switches: redundant power supply (RPS) provides full redundant system power (RPS) support for the HP E2910 al and E3500 yl PoE+ Switch Series; external power supply (EPS) provides an additional 398 W of PoE and PoE+ (EPS) power to the HP E2910 al and E3500 yl PoE+ Switch Series. Cables included: includes two 2-m RPS/EPS cables; cables can be used to carry RPS power or EPS power to the connected switch; no extra cables are needed for a complete solution.
