HP now offers Intel Xeon Phi Coprocessors to seamlessly integrate accelerated computing with HP ProLiant servers for scale-out deployments.
The Intel Xeon Phi 5110p Coprocessor has a capacity of up to 8 GB of GDDR5 memory with ECC at a peak memory bandwidth of 320 GB/s, and peak performance of up to 1.01 double-precision Tflops. Intel Xeon Phi coprocessors support several different execution models. These include an offload model similar to what is used for GPU applications, and also a many-core hosted model where the entire program is hosted on the coprocessor.
The HP accelerator Ecosystem includes the Intel Many Integrated Core (MIC) software development environment and third-party MIC development tools, as well as HP-supported coprocessor-aware cluster software such as the HP Insight Cluster Management Utility (CMU). CMU will monitor and display coprocessor health such as temperature, and will also install and provision accelerator software.
