iLO Advanced licenses provide an easy key-activated upgrade to full Lights-Out functionality on HP ProLiant Servers. Using HP iLO Advanced features, IT managers can perform most server management and administration tasks without physically visiting HP ProLiant servers. iLO Advanced licenses can be purchased standalone, or with a ProLiant Server order.

- Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and Secure Shell (SSH) security are a standard feature with setup in factory for ProLiant 100 series G6 servers. These features restrict access and encrypt data. IPv6 support added as a feature to ProLiant 100 series G6 servers (co-existence at introduction). Data encryption of browser and command line interfaces provides security to assets, data, and information.
