SBS 2008 is offered in two versions: SBS 2008 Standard is aimed at enterprises that want to achieve greater IT efficiency with functions like e-mail, internal web sites, remote access, support of mobile devices, file and printer sharing, data backup and Internet connectivity. That allows them to obtain a standard of IT productivity comparable with that of larger companies – without the problems of cost and complexity.

The Premium variant is tailored to the needs of users who place greater demands on their application platform. In addition to the standard functional range, it comprises an additional instance of Windows Server® 2008 and SQL Server 2008 for running industry applications on a separate server.
